Thank you for taking the time to read this.

By way of introduction, I am Helen. I live in the UK and am a passionate Francophile.

Since leaving university I have worked in roles that have allowed me to use my French and develop my cultural knowledge of France. I am very lucky to live close to France (Calais  is closer than London) and in my younger days we were able to travel across to Europe very easily. Working for a cross channel travel company also helped. I have lived in various parts of France. Paris is my favourite city.

My partner, Neil owns a pub and doesn’t like to leave his  business for longer than a few days. Working as a teacher means we are restricted to school holidays which,  as all parents know, is costly for longer stays. Europe always appeals to us as a travel destination. It always feels exciting when we cross the sea.

Neil appreciates the local beer scene and we both enjoy sampling regional cuisine.

We have so many exciting and different destinations our doorstep.

I am an avid photo taker of landmarks and places, albeit amateur. I do like sharing them on social media. Some of my friends recently asked for tips on where to go in Prague, thus inspiring me to put pen to paper and Mon Petit Voyage came into fruition.

I hope you enjoy what you read and maybe feel inspired by some of my experiences. I am extremely grateful to be afforded such wonderful opportunities.
